Each of these types of anodes are custom designed and many of these now industry standard types are based on SPF's original design and technology.

Platinum Clad Anode
This top performance anode is made possible by our patented Sun-Z-R process to clad platinum foil to a corrosion resistant metal. This anode is available in platinum foil clad to a solid corrosion resistant metal or as a platinum clad expanded metal anode. The use of platinum foil on the titanium electrode eliminates porosity (often encountered by the Pt deposition method) resulting in longer life. Our unique design allows a high, even electro-discharge from the platinum surface to the cathode resulting in homogenous deposition. Advantages of this are:
- Environmentally friendly - sludge is nonexistent
- Recoatable
- Homogenous deposition of electroplated metal layers at low voltages due to improved electrolysis
- No special maintenance requirements
- Cost Effective - Platinum is only applied to areas where it counts

Lead Clad Titanium Anode
The patented Titanium Electrode is specially designed to greatly reduce lead sludge and conserve energy. When used in conjunction with our patented submerged bus bars, even greater energy savings may be realized. The Lead Clad Titanium Electrode with submerged bus bars and our platinum clad metal anode combination create almost perfect plating conditions, especially for chrome plating.

High Pressure Chrome Anode
The high pressure chrome anode is an exclusive SPF product. In addition to the popular lead-tin type anodes, SPF also produces a high efficiency type (SKII) containing silver and an energy saving type (SKIII) combined with resin.
These anodes are manufactured by a high pressure extrusion process and are therefore very durable. With the right discharging angle, consistency and uniformity of plating are achieved and maintained.
